A Psalm of David; when he was in the wilderness of Judah.
O God, You are my God; with deepest longing I will see you; My soul [my life, my very self] thirsts for You, my flesh longs and sighs for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have gazed upon You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and Your glory. Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. So will I bless You as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. My soul[my life, my very self] is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth offers praises [to You] with joyful lips. When I remember You on my bed, I meditate and thoughtfully focus on You in the night watches, For You have been my help, And in the shadow of Your wings [where I am always protected] I sing for joy. My soul [my life, my very self] clings to You; Your right hand upholds me. But those who seek my life to destroy it will [be destroyed and] go into the depths of the earth [into the underworld]. They will be given over to the power of the sword; they will be a prey for foxes. But the king will rejoice in God; Everyone who swears by Him [honoring the true God, acknowledging His authority and majesty] will glory, For the mouths of those who speak lies will be stopped.
There is much confusion, anxiety and fear over the future of our nation. Everyone is worried about their way of living. But here we are today, in the midst of a global pandemic. Some may be asking where is God. He is here. Ever present and in complete control. There is nothing that the enemy can do to us that God Almighty cannot handle. As a nation, we need each other. Everyone’s life will be affected by this pandemic. There is no where to run. We cannot run to another state because everyone is facing the same dilemma. The well being of our nation and every nation of the world is at stake. What is GOD trying to tell us? I cannot help but think about the scripture in 2 Chronicles 7:14.
If my people, which are called by my name, shall HUMBLE themselves, and PRAY, and SEEK MY FACE, and TURN from their wicked ways; then WILL I HEAR from heaven, and WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN, and WILL HEAL THEIR LAND.
GOD’S instruction to His people is to Pray, Seek His Face, Turn from our wicked ways.
GOD’s promise to His people is He will hear from heaven, Forgive us of our sins, and Will Heal the Land.
Our land is in need of healing. God is telling us that prayer is the key to healing our land.
Our choice today should always be to believe in GOD alone. Trust in GOD no matter what it may look like. He is standing in the midst of us as a nation. He is calling on His children to pray, to seek His face alone. Our answer to get through this time lies with Him alone. Our government can do so much, but God’s children through prayer we can do more for our nation on our knees.
This is My truth today! I stand in complete trust in GOD. Psalm 63 has become my prayer. Don’t be fearful! Find time to sit at the feet of Jesus and let Him alone give to you the peace that will surpass all understanding. I’m determined to seek the face of God for the answers I need to get through this trial. Determined to keep my focus on God alone. God has been my help, therefore, in the shadow of His wings will I rejoice. At the end of the day when everything I can do for that day has been accomplished or not, I lift my eyes to the hills where my help comes. I begin to thank God for another day and I close my eyes trusting Him to protect my family, to guide our nation in truth. We are all in the wilderness right now, uncertain about tomorrow, but be determined to declare with all your might to God “your love is better than life.” Nothing about our lives are uncertain to God. God will see us through, but it will require faith and trusting God in every area of our life. The enemy for which we cannot see will be defeated in God’s timing. Everything the enemy mean for our destruction, God is already turning it around for our good.
Father, we come before your throne of grace knowing that you are in
complete control. We ask you to give to us wisdom and understanding.
As each of us come to you in prayer speak to our hearts. We humble
ourselves to you and declare in prayer that we need you to forgave
us of our sins. Help us to trust in you alone. Anoint our hearts
and our mind to seek you in faith and to trust you for the outcome.
Thank you Father that you will never leave us or forsake us.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen
