Life has a way of turning our lives upside down. Remember God did tell us that in this life we will suffer trails and tribulations. You might be in a place of desperation. You are not sure which way to go. You are in a hurry to make a decision. Are you looking for an answer in an instant because waiting is not an option? You have not heard from God. You have not considered praying to God for His assistance because time is not on your side and you don’t think He is listening. Your thinking may well be that God has more urgent matters to deal with at the present moment, therefore it is in your hands. You need to get past this dilemma and time is not on your side. Maybe you believe that God does not care about your situation. I am here to tell you that God does care! He is hoping that you come to Him and let Him help you. Stop where you are! Don’t RUSH into anything! Give God a chance to show you just how much He cares for you. God is waiting on you to release your troubles to Him.
I am here to tell you that “God Is In The Waiting.”
I know what you are thinking, waiting is HARD! I know! I have been there so many times. It is easy to make a decision about what is best for you, but how will your decision impact your life? Will it make your life easier for the moment or harder for a lifetime. Will it cause someone you love to lose their trust in you. What about you? Will your choice keep you up at night or will it bring you peace and calmness? Will your choice take away something from you, such as your integrity, your relationships with family or others in your circle?
Why is waiting so hard? Maybe because we are anxious to solve the dilemma. You desire to get that situation behind you and it does not matter how you got to the decision or even if your decision will affect the lives around you. We just want the problem solved and the unrest to be removed from our life. Guess what? The only way your decision will not leave you with a sense of unrest is if your decision is God centered. There is a purpose for the waiting. Waiting on the Lord may not be comfortable, but it is necessary. What you don’t realize is that God has a plan and a greater purpose. Don’t look at the word “waiting” as a hard word, but look at the word “waiting” as a blessing. A blessing from God Almighty. Would you believe me if I told you that “waiting on God” is what is will require you to SOAR!
You must realize that waiting is a process. God has a purpose for the “waiting” that is always greater than our own choice of not waiting.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plan to prosper you and not to harm you, plan to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
Waiting on God requires patience. Have you ever wondered why God wants His children to wait on Him?
Isaiah 40:31 declares the following:
“But they who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
This is a promise from God Almighty to all those who wait upon the Lord. God will keep His promise to you. Those who wait upon the Lord, their strength will be renewed. Wings like eagles is the strength and courage that God will give to all who trust in Him.
In ancient Hebrew cultures eagles were regarded as strong warriors. Eagles were also known to carry their young to safety in times of threat from predators. They were also thought to shed their feathers in a type of rebirth/regeneration to invigorate themselves to a form of their youth. Eagles were also known for their strength and courage in high winds and stormy weather. They had the ability to fly above the prevailing weather patterns and soar over the storm to safety.
Waiting on God will ascend you and I to a higher place of elevation. Talk about SOARING!!!!! When you and I face difficult times and make a decision to wait on God, God will ensure that our strength will be renewed and we will SOAR above the problems or difficulties in our lives.
Look! God Almighty isn’t done yet. He also promised that they who wait on Him shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint. The words that come to my mind are steadfastness, vigor, faintness, no longer exhausted, no longer weary. Simply speaking, God is our HOPE and our PEACE while we WAIT!
Heavenly Father, we pray for your intercession in our lives today. Help us in our times of unbelief. Help us to trust in you for all things concerning each of us. Psalm 139 tells us that you are acquainted with all of our ways. Nothing is our life is hidden from you. We thank you FATHER that you alone know what we stand in need of. Help us to WAIT on YOUR JESUS! Amen!
I pray that this blog will bless you and help you to have trust in GOD. I say to you today from Psalm 34:8, “TASTE and SEE That The Lord Is Good! Don’t be afraid of the arrows that flies by day, of the pestilence that stalks in darkness or the destruction that lays waste at noon. Make the most High God your dwelling place.
Until we meet again! Be Still and Know that He Is GOD!
