Dear Truth Seekers,
I woke up this morning hungry for God. I needed to pour out to Him everything I was feeling this morning. I needed to hear his voice. I needed to be close to Him. Jesus! Jesus! Jesus! I need you! The thirst was so real that tears begin to fall down my face. I wanted Jesus to know how important His presence was to me. I just wanted to get to Him. I needed to get to Him! I felt like the woman in the bible, if I can just touch the hem of His garment, I will be whole again. The truth is, I needed Him to comfort me. I needed Him to tell me that He had not forgotten me. It was an intense struggle. Fighting my way through my own thoughts and fears. I could hear Jesus say to me, “Don’t cry! I Am Here! I know, fear not for I Am with you. Believe in me. Trust in me. Stop depending on your own strength. Stop trying to satisfy and please everyone. This is your struggle. You are tired and weary because you are trying to stand on your own resources. You have forgotten that I Am the only resource you need. Don’t get caught up with the things of this world. Stop worrying about people. You know the power of prayer! Pray! Pray! Pray for what you need. Be the intercessor I have called you to be. You have been looking for me, but you never lost me. I have been with you. I live in you. So many of my children are trying to live apart from me. You must understand, I Am the Way and the Truth and the Life. (John 14:6) Everything you need, I Am the resource always. You have been through many trials and tribulations, but I have brought you through.” He is saying the same to you. Enter into His rest.
We are about to walk over the threshold of a new year. A year filled with possibilities. A new year to do things differently. We know of the things we have failed at. Let us not regret our pass failures. It has made us who we are. We fall down, but we will get up again. God is not done with you. Let us read Psalm 51 and repent of sins. Today, know that we don’t have to remain where we are. Jesus said, “It Is Finished.” Let us thank God for every mountain He allowed us to cross over. Jesus is the same God yesterday, today and forever.
Happy New Year to everyone. Continue your journey of Truth in Faith!
